Light Steel Construction: A Modern House with an Open Floor Plan

This private house, built using light-gauge steel construction, spans 180 sqm on a 3,000 sqm lot. The house was designed with light construction technology and carefully positioned between existing trees on the plot, ensuring no tree was harmed during the building process. This approach created not only an environmentally friendly structure but also a unique feeling of living within a private forest.

The design concept was based on maximizing the advantages of light construction: energy efficiency, planning flexibility, and minimal disruption to the natural surroundings. The house was designed as an open and bright space, with large openings that frame the natural scenery and bring the greenery indoors. The selection of natural materials like wood, exposed concrete, and textiles completed the concept, creating a warm, modern, and harmonious home.

The work on this project required a constant dialogue between the design and the reality on the ground, out of respect for the natural heritage of the place. Every element, from the placement of the windows to the choice of lighting systems, was intended to strengthen the connection between the house and its surrounding nature, creating a quiet, integrated living space.
