Jerusalem Renovation: Planning on a Complex Topography This extensive renovation project of a 250 sqm two-story house in Jerusalem addressed the unique topography of the plot with a different design approach: inverting the traditional order of the floors. The home's public areas were moved to the upper floor to enjoy the views, while the private bedrooms were located on the ground floor.This placement provided them with privacy and quiet, due to the fact that, given the topography, the ground floor is not at street level. The renovation included relocating the stairs and creating an internal patio that was not in the original plan. The patio brings in natural light and an additional air current for the central spaces, adding depth and a sense of openness
